I've been interested in photography for awhile now, in a sort of passive "when there's time" way. That is, I really know nothing about exposure times and lighting, not much about composition and even less about manual cameras. That said, I'm kind of proud of some of my pictures. I took most of them with my little point-and-shoot Canon and, all in all, I like them.

I guess my point is that you can take some good shots without spending a lot of money, and I hope that people don't deny themselves this hobby just because they think they can't afford it.

Find something that makes you happy, and do it.
